SUMMARY

The Digital Portfolio Product Director is responsible for the digital product strategy, planning, development, and profitability management for a portfolio of education products and services focused on the Global Knowledge Digital Course Portfolio, methodologies and technologies found in corporate and government entities around the world.

This includes gathering and understanding specific customer digital requirements and market trends, defining the digital product vision and customer value proposition, managing the portfolio throughout the complete product lifecycle, and working closely with Global Product Directors teams and subject matter experts to deliver profitable products. It also includes driving the enablement of sales, marketing and operations to ensure profitability, growth and customer satisfaction goals are exceeded.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the overall digital product strategy strategy, product framework and roadmap for a differentiated and leading the digital course portfolio.
  • Define the target market segmentation and addressable market sizing for your portfolio
  • Define target Enterprise customer job roles and competencies to be addressed within your portfolio
  • Participate in customer meetings and conversations in order to gain a depth of understanding of how they are thinking about their needs and value points within your portfolio area
  • Participate in appropriate industry and technology partner conferences and events
  • Develop deep working relationships with the leading technology and services companies in the Enterprise Application Development market segment
  • Manage and develop a strategic set of industry partnerships – technology companies, certification bodies, and services companies – that bring value to your overall content portfolio
  • Deliver clearly defined business plans that outline product roadmap, investments, project plans, and expected profitability goals for the products and services in the portfolio
  • Deliver a rich set of education products that combine content from best-in-class technology partners with internally developed proprietary content that together create a compelling and differentiated value proposition for corporate and government customers
  • Determine and implement appropriate strategies for developing, licensing or partnering for the required elements of the overall portfolio framework
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the portfolio working in partnership with product marketing team members
  • Make recommendations on Course Structure, Pricing and Marketing Messaging

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience as a Product Manager in a technology or education business services role
  • Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of current IT Trends such as Cyber Security, Cloud Services and Products, Developer Languages and Applications, associated job roles, industry standards and certifications, technologies and industry trends
  • Demonstrated success with product strategy and go to market launch execution in a business to business model
  • Demonstrated ability to define and document a product line strategy, investment thesis, and overall business plan
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presence
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be able to travel occasionally, Approx 10% of time.

This role is based in Raleigh/Durham as primary location
