SAGE has a current opening for a Product Associate, College in our Thousand Oaks, CA or Washington, DC office.

This full-time hourly position is open to graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in publishing or product management. This entry level role will assist in the completion of various digital initiatives and projects. The role will work specifically with the Director of College Product Management, and other members of the team, to provide assistance in administrative tasks, scheduling, content system authoring/loading, and other duties to support the team’s projects. This role will learn about Higher Education publishing, digital product solutions and gain hands-on experience in a digital product environment.

Responsibilities:

The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Assisting Product Management department personnel in supporting various aspects of planning and development for digital product development

* Performing regular scheduling of milestones dates and regular review/updating with project teams

* Loading content into systems using authoring tools and content management system

* Capturing notes and action items from meetings

* Proofreading and accuracy checking materials

* Process invoices

* Research topics, associations, trends, market data, etc.

* Send surveys and compile/analyze results as directed

* Assist with and coordinate user testing and market research of digital products

Qualifications:

Include, but not limited to, the following:

* Bachelor’s degree

* Prefer 1 year of experience in publishing, digital editorial or product management

* Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet

* Media/web/video development experience a plus

* Proven demonstration of high level of maturity and professionalism

Language, Reasoning, Analytical & Mathematical Skills:

* Ability to plan and manage multiple projects and effectively multi-task * Effective decision making

* Ability to reason and problem solve

* Ability to work with constant interruptions

* Proficient analytical and mathematical skills

* Ability to effectively make presentations to internal/external groups
