Pathstream - San Francisco, California - Full time

We are looking for a detail-oriented, business-minded, people person to support the internal operations of our team and company, ensuring that our employees are set up for success and that our operational systems are effective and scalable.

Pathstream is looking for a People Operations professional to support the internal operations behind all of our people-related business functions. This is an exciting role that combines a recruiter, people operations, and business operations position into one, giving you the opportunity to drive the hiring process, onboarding systems, and employee experience. You will help set the stage for these key areas of the business, and as we grow together, we expect that you will start to focus on one of these specific areas that aligns with your skills, experience, and long term growth goals. We are looking for someone who is eager to think through big picture systems while taking care of the small details, and who can help strategize at an org-wide level while rolling up their sleeves to get the job done.

This is a full-time position that reports to the VP of Finance. This position is based at Pathstream’s headquarters in downtown San Francisco, CA but will be remote until it is safe to return to in-person work.

THE ROLE

Recruiting & Hiring (35%)

  • Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to run our end-to-end recruiting cycle and hiring process
  • Use innovative sourcing methods and channels to develop a sustainable candidate lead strategy to efficiently identify and attract top candidates
  • Employ tested strategies that enable you to design and facilitate a diverse and inclusive candidate evaluation process
  • Contribute to developing our employer brand strategy and creating a smooth and positive candidate experience
  • Manage all ATS set up (posting jobs, setting up the interview process) and recruiting coordination (sending emails, scheduling, etc.), and support with processing applications and conducting phone screens

Onboarding & Culture (30%)

  • Collaborate across departments to establish the culture, values, norms, and operational systems that contribute to the overall employee experience
  • Create and deliver an optimal onboarding process and experience so that all new hires are warmly welcomed, appropriately trained, and set up for success in their role
  • Assist with employee engagement feedback and performance review cycles, as needed
  • Assist with the logistics planning and execution of team events (virtual and in person)
  • Contribute to company-wide D&I initiatives, with an eye to ensuring our hiring practices, organizational culture, and policies and procedures are reflective of our company values

Business Operations & HR (35%)

  • Collaborate with our compliance, security, and finance teams to ensure business operations policies are implemented and followed
  • Support HR processes such as collecting documents, tracking hours, and supporting benefits administration
  • Assist with contract and financial administration, including invoicing and expenses
  • Manage vendor relationships, particularly those related to the employee experience such as office suppliers and information technology (hardware and software)
  • When it is safe to return to in person work, oversee all office operations, including stocking supplies and managing facilities

ABOUT YOU

  • 3-5+ years of operations experience: Several years in a recruiting, human resources, people operations, and/or business operations role
    • Prior experience supporting multiple teams/departments
    • Prior experience creating and implementing operational systems and processes
  • Superb attention to detail: You are extremely organized and can keep track of multiple projects, tasks, and responsibilities at once
  • Excellent judgment: You understand what motivates people, what they value, and who might be a good fit for current and future roles
  • Business savvy: You understand business goals, needs, and constraints and approach situations with a critical mind, an eye to efficiency, and a high degree of integrity
  • Culture builder: You are an active listener and lead with empathy; you seek to build relationships across teams and build community between team members
  • Strong written and verbal communication: You can interact with a variety of people in a manner that is professional, personable, and precise whether in person, via email, or over the phone
  • Comfortable with technology and data: You have a good sense of spreadsheets and other tools that help you automate and streamline systems
