About the role

Moneythink has kick-started our DecidED work with $1.5M+ in generous, multi-year support from the Gates and Dell Foundations to build out our DecidED Application Programming Interface (API). Our API helps position us for scaled and sustained impact. We have an exciting opportunity for a purpose driven sales professional to build on the growth of the Partnerships Team and fuel our next phase of external growth. As Moneythink’s API Partnerships Manager, you will play a key role in helping us reach our 5-year aim to support over 1 million institutionally marginalized students on their paths to and through college. 

An exceptional catalyst and a key externally-facing leader, this individual will help forge new relationships to build Moneythink’s financial resources, visibility, and impact. Reporting to the Vice President of Partnerships, and working closely with the Partnerships Team and other staff, this role co-develops and drives the execution of API partner cultivation, account management, and retention. 

Key Responsibilities

While this role will be heavily influential and interact with all parts of our organization, we’ve identified these main priority areas:

Partner Outreach and Cultivation 

-Leverage our partnership strategy, research and identify potential partner organizations and enterprises within California, Illinois, and Texas that align with our mission and growth aims.

-Use prospect research to source and cultivate qualified partnership opportunities through outreach marketing efforts. Serve as point person for all inbound leads and follow-up. 

-Create and maintain effective processes to track partner engagement, key partner success metrics, revenue and growth.

-Lead associated data, collection, analysis, and reporting processes to drive and inform continuous improvement. 

Partner Retention and Management

-Negotiate and finalize API contracts in accordance with Moneythink’s contract guidelines and policies. 

-Collaborate with Moneythink legal counsel to support contract execution. 

-Work closely with the marketing, partnerships and product teams to optimize partners’ results and engagement. 

-Lead the development of API onboarding, training and marketing materials in collaboration with the Product team to enhance our high quality support for partners. 

-Coordinate with the API Product Manager to ensure that partners have the resources they need to effectively implement the API.

You’re digitally savvy. Our solutions are digital and 99% of your role will take place on the internet. You are on top of new technologies and love developing your own strategies to make outreach with partners more efficient. You have a track record of using digital tools to drive partnership growth. 

Desired Experience:

-3+ years of experience building successful education partnerships that drive organizational growth. 

-Subject matter expertise in college admissions, financial aid, college affordability, financial technology or a related area.

-Experience with an ed-tech or product development organization is preferred. Business-to-Business (B2B) SAAS product experience is a plus.

Logistics

Employment: 100%

Location: Remote-first

The majority of the Moneythink team is based in the San Francisco Bay Area but all work remotely. Those in the San Francisco Bay Area also have the option to meet regularly at coworking spaces in San Francisco or Oakland. We are open to US-based remote candidates with the ability to travel twice per year for company onsites. This style of working allows us to take advantage of the benefits of in-person time together while preserving the flexibility and freedom of working from home.

Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience. 

The target salary range for this role starts at $70,000 annually. Moneythink offers a very competitive compensation package.

Target Start Date: Flexible; ideally November 15
