BirdBrain Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Partnerships and Sales Manager to spearhead our indirect sales channel, serve as our ambassador at conferences, and assist with direct sales inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills, demonstrate empathic communication, and be dedicated to empowering educators in fostering deep and engaging learning experiences for all students. Although this opportunity is well-suited for individuals with prior sales experience, please note that the role does not receive commission-based incentives or rely on quota evaluations.
WHAT YOU'll DO
Partnership Management
- Create and nurture relationships with sales partners (resellers, affiliates)
- Act as partners’ POC for all communications (quoting, product questions, strategy, deal registration, virtual demos and training)
- Keep partners up to date on all relevant business (price changes, stock updates, new features)
- Develop and manage partner marketing assets, including but not limited to print collateral, videos, website design and content, prospect personas, and case studies
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new partners to fill gaps as needed
Customer Support
- Create quotes for inbound sales inquiries
- Consult with educators and district specialists who are interested in purchasing BirdBrain products
- Provide voice of customer detail to the team to identify gaps in product and resource offerings
Outreach and Development
- Identify, evaluate, coordinate, and participate in events and conferences; travel required ~20%
- Conduct strategic research on the marketplace and market forces
- Engage with initiatives in other departments, including marketing, operations, and product development, to align priorities and resources with the overall vision and strategy
THINGS WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- An authentic desire to do what you can to improve the lives of children, in this case by smoothing access channels and providing product recommendations that allow educators to teach creativity, computer science, robotics, and math in a way that’s truly deep and joyful for students
- 5+ years sales experience in EdTech (robotics, computer science, and/or STEAM preferred)
- Significant prior sales management responsibility highly preferred
- Ability to represent our products in the overall education ecosystem, including how to integrate with core curricula and align to standards
- Tradeshow booth and logistics experience
- Demonstrable experience with a wide array of marketing tools, systems, and technologies
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to important cross-functional initiatives
- Eagerness to travel to in-person events as a company representative (travel will not exceed 20% when averaged over a year)
- Attention to detail, commitment to the importance of data, and execution of plans and systems to ensure the data informs decisions, recommendations, and strategy
- Empathy and understanding of the challenges teachers face when trying something new in the classroom
- Exceptional writing and speaking skills
- Comfort thinking on your feet and working in a fast-moving environment
- Willingness to flex into roles and responsibilities outside of this job description
- Skills in working remotely and asynchronously
Bonus experience:
- Knowledge of the robotics and physical computing ecosystem, especially BirdBrain’s products
- Teacher, supervisor, or administrator experience
