Specific to the Role: The Partnership Development Manager is a direct contributor sales role responsible for the development of assigned territories in K-12 education. Territory development focuses on developing new fee-based products at target school districts, providing Exceptional Lives an opportunity to expand its influence and the number of families served. This position reports directly to the CEO.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop new business in current contracted districts
- Actively build, manage, and close a sales pipeline that reliably delivers sales above target
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all Exceptional Lives staff
- Maintain deal transparency and pipeline health through real-time use of CRM
- Utilize CRM to document and plan for sales success.
- Make outgoing sales calls to senior district staff at prospective customer districts
- Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and marketing-sourced leads
- Successfully qualify and convert prospects
- Conduct sales presentations (primarily virtual) that are new, first-time meetings with school and district leaders to build awareness and develop opportunities.
- Participate positively and actively in sales meetings, sales coaching, and company functions as appropriate.
- Meet and/or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals and related key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain a close rate of at least 30% after six months in a territory.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years documented success in new business and growth sales role
- Proficient in the use of a CRM
- Experience selling via technology (i.e. phone, video, social media, Zoom, etc.)
- Excellent telephone prospecting skills
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, as well as clearly articulate new value propositions as solutions expand
- Self-starter, strong work ethic, organized and excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be a POSITIVE, can-do person, be adaptable to change
- Education (K-12) sales experience is a plus but not a must have
- Knowledge of special education landscape is also a plus
- Demonstrated ability to qualify and advance opportunities through a documented sales process
- Cultivates relationships in support of sales, referrals, and account growth.
- College degree required
Total on-target earnings are expected to be between $110,000- $125,000.
