Partnership Development Manager

About the PositionDigital Promise Global is seeking a Partnership Development Manager who is passionate about building, managing, and cultivating partnerships with K-12 school districts, state departments of education, funders, and adult learning organizations. The Manager will lead both strategic and operational activities for the Powerful Learning team at Digital Promise Global including partner engagement, fundraising, budgeting, proposal writing, pitch development, and contract management. Powerful Learning is personal and accessible, authentic and challenging, collaborative and connected, and inquisitive and reflective. These learning experiences provide opportunities for students to deeply engage in their learning while using technology in ways that contribute to closing the Digital Learning Gap.

The Powerful Learning team’s work is focused on products and services that support learning with technology, educator professional learning, adult education, and workforce development. Over the last several years we have launched and developed a growing micro-credential ecosystem as well as professional services offerings that support Powerful Learning experience design. The Partnership Development Manager will leverage experience in K12 sales to develop strategies and tactics that cultivate relationships among school district and state department of education clients. To excel in this role, the incumbent should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, credibility in the education space, and a hunger to build relationships and close sales originating from both cold calls and inbound leads.

    • Engaging potential partners in 1:1 conversations and group meetings;
    • Developing relationships with organizations and individuals to find new opportunities;
    • Representing the organization at conferences, meetings, and industry events

    • Developing quotes and proposals for partners;
    • Preparing one-page marketing briefs;
    • Assisting with full length reports

    • Attending to detail;
    • Managing projects independently;
    • Developing systems for maximizing efficiency;
    • Using quantitative and qualitative data to drive strategies and opportunities
  • Strategy
    • Consulting on the development and marketing of new products and services;
    • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives;
    • Creating marketing collateral to attract new partners;
    • Developing goals for business growth and ensuring they are met
  • Technology
    • Using tools such as Salesforce, G Suite, Slack, AirTable, and Zoom
  • Culture

Candidate Experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to expanding educational access and opportunity
  • Knowledge of and experience in K-12 education required, experience in adult education a plus
  • Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working in a professional setting
  • Comfort presenting complex information to small and large groups
  • Experience developing and executing partnership development and growth strategies
  • Experience developing requests for proposals
  • Bottom line responsibility for closing contracts
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
