About the Job:

The Partner Development Representative (PDR) works within our Growth Operations team and directly supports BetterLesson’s Directors of Partnerships to help drive new customer acquisition. The PDR is responsible for positioning BetterLesson’s personalized professional development offerings to prospective K-12 schools and districts. To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable partnering over the phone with K-12 leaders (i.e. superintendents, directors of professional development, principals etc.) to ensure they understand BetterLesson’s innovative approach to professional learning in service of creating more student-centered classrooms. The PDR will use data and insights from all relevant sources, including leads from outbound marketing campaigns and conferences as well as evaluating school district staffing patterns and strategic plans, so that all outreach efforts align to the particular needs and context of a local community.

You Will:

  • Contact (call and/or email) a high volume of qualified leads per day to ensure that they are fully aware of BetterLesson’s capabilities and that they are qualified to move on to a conversation with a Director of Partnerships.
  • Secure appointments and conduct product demonstrations online and offline so customers can fully understand BetterLesson’s value proposition.
  • Potentially own entire sales cycles for more modestly sized partnership opportunities.
  • Serve as the bridge between Partnerships and Marketing by working closely with marketing to align the quantity of leads with each month’s goal.
  • Work closely with Partnerships to align created opportunities to monthly goals.
  • Keep precise records concerning all outreach activities; communicate timely and accurately about those activities with the Partnerships team.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of sales/marketing/demand generation experience
  • Passion for and knowledge of K-12 education; classroom experience greatly valued.
  • A profound belief in the potential of great teaching to positively transform students’ lives.
  • Comfort establishing relationships with people over phone and online communication.
  • Experience with SalesForce and HubSpot; strong proficiency with Google Suite.
