Partner Development Associate

We are looking for a self-driven and entrepreneurial Partner Development Associate in the Detroit metro area to join our team. This determined, creative individual will identify and cultivate partnerships with innovative colleges and employers focused on student success, driving Persistence Plus’s continued growth and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and coordinate outreach to potential education and employer partners
  • Research initiatives at colleges and employers to identify potential partners
  • Lead potential partners through initial calls and online product demonstrations
  • Write and coordinate conference presentations and other outreach strategies
  • Track activities in CRM and develop and coordinate smart follow-up
  • Test, evaluate, and refine outreach activities
  • Occasional travel required (<15%)

Successful candidates will have:

  • 2+ years of client-facing sales development experience in a business-to-business environment, education sales a plus
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to think on their feet
  • Solid writing and research skills and an affinity for listening and learning
  • Proficiency using sales tools
  • Experience and comfort with creating new strategies, processes, and structures
  • Must be a self-starter, be comfortable with limited supervision, perform under pressure, and have solid problem-solving skills
  • Interest in behavioral science/social psychology and higher education
  • A commitment to P+’s mission of increasing educational opportunities and outcomes for all
