How You Can Help

With deep empathy and an eye toward impact, you will work to understand the needs, challenges, and vision of schools and districts in your territory, bringing them into the Schoolzilla community when the fit is right. You will contact potential customers, ask them insightful questions, understand organizational dynamics, identify needs that we can fulfill, and schedule follow-up meetings with sales team members. You will develop authentic relationships with educators and administrators, achieve ambitious growth goals, and consistently improve the sales team's strategies, tactics, and results.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously grow a deep understanding of our products and the needs of our potential customers.
  • Own and develop a territory. Build knowledge about regional conferences, professional associations, potential partners, relevant state and local policies and funding sources.
  • Create and execute on a strategy for conferences and events in your territory, maximizing the impact of our participation with presentations, meetings with strategic districts, and creative strategies to communicate our message in a way that resonates with specific audiences.
  • Spark interest in Schoolzilla, and establish initial relationships with district leaders.
  • Conduct high-quality, consultative discussions, probing for school district pain points and vision.
  • Measure effectiveness and quality of marketing content and outreach initiatives and adjust as needed to meet objectives.
  • Deliver feedback to our product team to contribute to the development of the Schoolzilla platform.

  • Loves technology -- able to understand technology questions deeply and discuss them lucidly.
  • Proven work ethic, a commitment to personal development and an attitude of self-motivation.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • 1+ years B2B marketing and/or sales experience, especially with SaaS, services, or K-12 products.
  • 1+ years working with (or within) U.S. school districts, preferably at the central office level.
  • Recruiting, field organizing or event organizing experience.
