About the Role

The Operations & Culture Coordinator will support the work of our Business Operations and Talent teams, playing a unique and critical role to ensure the smooth functioning of all office operations and to create a productive and fun environment that everyone based at headquarters can thrive in and enjoy. This role represents the opportunity to work with and support an incredibly dynamic, cross functional team and to learn more about how talent and operations work in a growing and entrepreneurial social enterprise.

What you Would Do

Drive key Office Operations functions with the goal of maintaining an efficient, clean, and smooth running office environment.

- Procure, track, and maintain office inventory including supplies, kitchen goods, and furniture and technology assets.

- Manage office cleanliness, organization, and decor

- Maintain stocked kitchen and coordinate kitchen cleaning

- Support all local staff with general office and environment needs

- Serve as lead liaison for all building and landlord related concerns including emergency planning, scheduling work orders, reserving freight elevators, etc.

- Oversee upkeep and maintenance of various office equipment and systems including HVAC, kitchen appliances, and copier machine

Act as an ambassador of New Classrooms office culture by taking lead role in key org services, activities, and traditions

- Oversee welcoming new team members and assist with onboarding activities

- Assist with all logistical aspects of event planning including org happy hours and bi-annual all team events

- Manage office decoration and community white board

Support other functions of the Business Operations department

- Manage New Classrooms central mail distribution, email, and voicemail accounts

- Drive org wellness initiatives

- Manage small goods purchasing

- Provide support for office sub-lettors

- Manage office expense budget

- Manage scheduling and maintenance for our corporate apartment

- Reconcile debit card expenses

- Other functions as needed

What We are Looking For

- BA degree preferred

- 1-2 years of experience with increasing responsibility in fast paced environments, ideally in a customer facing or support role where organization and friendly service were critical

- Strong communication skills--written and verbal

- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to make connections with a diverse group of colleagues

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Demonstrated passion for/commitment for mission driven work, particularly education
