Seeking STEM Operations Head for Hands on High School Summer Engineering Program

About The Company:

BlueStamp Engineering is a 6-week summer program in NYC, San Francisco, and Palo Alto where high school students individually build engineering projects. Students select and build a project of interest (e.g. solar powered electronics, robots, GPS devices, mini wind turbines, etc.) with a motto of "learning by doing." Students go through the entire process of building and testing their devices while supporting their work with full documentation published online. Open Position – National Operations / NYC Director:

BlueStamp, LLC is looking for an outgoing, independent, motivated, kind, and tech-savvy person based in or near NYC to join our staff.The director will be the face of the NYC program and therefore have excellent leadership ability. This position will focus on the NYC program, but may also remotely coordinate and support the other cities. This position can be part time or full time, depending on the candidate’s availability.The director should be highly creative and entrepreneurial as they will be integral in suggesting and implementing improvements to the program.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Enrollment and PR: Responsible for driving enrollment and PR efforts as well as conducting interviews during the application period (November-May) in person in NYC and remotely for other cities.
  2. Staff Recruitment: Publish job postings, review resumes and interview BSE summer staff candidates.
  3. Program Administration: Manage the staff and students every day during the 6-week NYC program.
  4. Website & Social Media: Review and update national website content and manage our social media presence.
  5. Invoices & Payments: Coordinate invoices and payments from students nationwide.
  6. Community Outreach: Organize, attend, and/or host events (such as maker faire).
  7. Miscellaneous Support: Take advantage of new opportunities that may arise.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. - A passion for bringing hands-on, applicable engineering experience to High School students.
  2. - Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  3. - Experience and significant proficiency in public speaking.
  4. - Tech savvy, experience networking and reaching out to new contacts by phone and email.
  5. - Flexibility, independence, and creativity in filling a new position with a small company.
  6. - Excellent communication skills, unfettered honesty and the intrinsic drive to be great.

Annual Work Loads:

The BlueStamp Engineering program currently only teaches students during the summer. The Operations position will focus on enrollment growth and organization from November - May, Program facilitation from June - August, and planning from August - October. Applicants should expect to have a full load from November - early August, but have a more relaxed schedule until November of the next year.


  1. - $50k - $60k per year for plus up to 25% merit-based bonus.
