About Educator Micro-credentialsDigital Promise has built an ecosystem of micro-credentials in partnership with issuers, earners, and recognizers to personalize learning for educators. Micro-credentials provide educators with competency-based recognition for the skills they learn through their career. They are a natural extension of the formal and informal learning activities educators engage in every day. Micro-credentials empower educators to drive their professional learning and give administrators the tools they need to personalize learning for the educators and meet their broader goals.

About the PositionDigital Promise is seeking a Micro-credential Development Manager to support its Educator Micro-credential Initiative as it continues to scale. The Development Manager will collaborate with partners (issuers) to develop micro-credential content and provide support support and training to those who will be assessing the micro-credential submissions (assessors). The Development Manager will also play a central role in the day to day administration of Digital Promise’s micro-credential platform. He/she will report to the Senior Project Director, Educator Micro-credentials and be an integral part of the team.


  • Micro-credential Development Management
    • Collaborate with issuers to provide training on the micro-credential template and framework, and provide feedback and edits to partner content
    • Utilize project management systems for tracking the the development process from definition through to publication of the micro-credential content
    • Support the overall partnerships work of the micro-credential ecosystem, including development of new partnerships and maintaining existing ones
  • Micro-credential Issuer and Assessor Support
    • Provide training and support to both internal and external micro-credential issuers and assessors
  • Technical and Operational Administration
    • Act as a micro-credential platform administrator, providing timely and effective support to all platform users
    • Manage educator, assessor, issuer, and district leaders support on the micro-credential platform
    • Manage and support tracking and documentation related to micro-credential operations
  • Event Management and Support


  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, including classroom teaching
  • Experience with adult professional learning, digital learning, and/or curriculum design strongly preferred
  • Experience working with external partners
  • Strong organizational skills with an impeccable attention to detail, event planning experience a plus
  • Ability to manage and prioritize responsibilities independently on a daily basis, and execute effectively.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication, and interpersonal skills with external and internal relationship management.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage competing tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education, a team mentality, creativity, and a positive “can-do” “yes-and” spirit.

CompensationSalary and benefits will be commensurate with experience.
