Membership Specialist (Classroom Accounts) (Raleigh, NC)

IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by over 12 million students worldwide, is seeking an upbeat, customer-focused, and analytical individual to join the Teacher Membership team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with customers and responding to incoming inquiries. This person must be well-organized and extremely personable. We are looking for a quick learner who is flexible and can take on a variety of independent projects.

This position is for a Membership Specialist who is passionate about and dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to our growing customer base.

This is a full time, hourly position in our Raleigh, NC office. The position will likely begin as remote, but will transition back to in office.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Perform tasks related to sales support such as handling inbound trial and small quote requests, answering inbound sales and product questions, providing pricing information, and logging customer communication in Salesforce
  • Respond to membership questions and assist customers with account purchases, upgrades, renewals, and inquiries
  • Effectively communicate key product features and benefits to customers via email and phone
  • Receive and assist with purchase orders, credit cards payments and checks
  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective customers
  • Support IXL classroom and school site license accounts

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years experience in customer service, sales or educational organization. Any K-12 classroom experience is a plus
  • Comfortable with technology and passionate about bringing technology into the classroom
  • Energetic, positive person who works well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Prior experience with phone systems and communication via email
  • Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
  • Exceptional critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills
