Marketing Strategy Manager, International Growth

The Marketing Strategy Manager for International Growth will report to the Vice President, Direct to Consumer Marketing, and will lead the consumer business growth for Rosetta Stone beyond the core markets of North America & Europe. 

The Marketing Strategy Manager, International Growth will evaluate and prioritize the most promising regions / countries and build the marketing growth plan to scale the existing business through ASO/SEO and paid media efforts. This person will own the full funnel for each priority market – including user experience, creative and messaging strategy, CRM channels & media placements - as well as work with internal teams to conduct consumer, market, and competitive research in the regions. The person in this role will work with the product team to ensure product viability and identify localization needs. Additional responsibilities include tracking daily performance and market insights, synthesizing that data to create and refine marketing plans, and providing tactical recommendations to achieve target performance goals.

This role is expected to travel less than 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

-Act as the owner for traffic and bookings in growth markets.

-Conduct market analysis in order to prioritize a short-list of markets to focus on (near-term, mid-term and long-term) based on trends, competitive landscape, cultural differences, unmet consumer needs and opportunities.

-Define the market growth strategy that outlines the business plan for each country. 

-Develop the marketing plan (target audience, distribution channels - app, web, media mix, user experience, and product needs required for success.

-Outline a “crawl-walk-run” test approach for each market to validate success of growth strategy and partner with internal creative, marketing and product teams to execute tests.

-Generate performance reports, analyze customer funnel and usage data, and provide actionable insights to refine and scale growth plans.

-Identify ideal partners in the region that can help fuel performance marketing growth including creative and/or marketing agencies.

Requirements:

-Passion for language learning

-Startup mentality

-Proven self-starter able to work with limited supervision

-Strong analytical skills to support complex GTM and marketing projects

-Effective at building relationships, collaborating, and influencing others; experience working with cross functional teams

-Experience working for mobile app and/or SAAS business

-Experience creating and executing international go-to-market strategies preferred

-Strong communication skills

-5+ years of relevant job experience
