In this role, the Marketing Project Manager is responsible for leading the timely delivery of all marketing projects and ensuring they are in scope, on schedule, on budget, with quality, and achieving project objectives. The role will serve as the liaison between the marketing managers, creative team, internal staff, and external vendors while establishing expectations and monitoring project timelines, workloads, and project objectives to ensure that everything stays on track. The Marketing Project Manager will also collaborate with business owners to get an understanding of the business goals and objectives for projects and assess project risks on an ongoing basis, escalate issues as needed, and provide a solutions-oriented approach to stay on schedule.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead the timely delivery of all marketing projects and ensure they are in scope, on schedule, in budget, with quality, and achieving project objectives.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, wireframes, and workflow analysis.
  • Collaborate with business owners to get an understanding of the business goals and objectives for projects.
  • Coordinate incoming marketing requests, assign projects to the appropriate marketing and creative staff, and ensure projects progress to completion.
  • Lead in managing project workflow between Marketing, Creative, Design, and Digital teams, as well as working with leadership to ensure efficiencies in the process.
  • Assess project risks on an ongoing basis, escalate issues as needed, and provide a solutions-oriented approach to stay on schedule.
  • Promote the flow of information among all participants and work independently with the project team, SMEs (subject matter experts), and stakeholders to solve issues.
  • Communicate scope, business goals, and objectives, project success metrics to the project team.
  • Create project schedules using Microsoft Project, including project tasks, milestones, dependencies, constraints, and resources.
  • Provide clear direction to the team members on their tasks and on how to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Establish a rapport with the business owner by providing consultative project management and business analyst services.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Prepare timely and accurate status reporting for executive leadership, project sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Manage the project to the approved budget and monitor change requests for impacts to the budget.
  • Encourage effective communications and ensure relationships between customers and project team members are maintained.
  • Perform as the liaison between the business units, technology teams, and support teams.
  • Guides the project team in following prescribed best practice methods for system and product(s) design, development, and testing for delivering a quality product.

Qualifications

WHAT MATTERS TO US:

  • A four-year college degree in a related field of study is preferred but not required.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience and knowledge of marketing, creative services, and design operations are required.
  • Proficient in industry best practice systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, e.g., waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.
  • Hubspot or a comparable email marketing automation/workflow management tools
  • Salesforce.com or other CRM
  • Asana or comparable project management software
