Marketing Manager

The DBQ Project - Evanston, Illinois or Remote - Part time

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to help our growing organization manage all aspects of our marketing channels, support our business development objectives, and to share our mission and dreams for transformational change in schools with our current and future partner districts.

  • Build marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and partner groups in support of our overall strategic marketing plan
  • Market through various channels, including social media, ed publications, websites, newsletters, email campaigns, etc.
  • Collaborate with our Regional Directors, Director of Operations and President around focused brainstorming sessions designed to drive growth and impact
  • Lead the execution of annual marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
  • Develop, write, design and produce digital and print communications, including social media posts, newsletters, announcements, eNewsletters, program and event emails, etc.
  • Select and prepare photos/graphics for eNewsletters, social media, web, other collateral 
  • Propose, develop and manage research projects to generate insights that promote improved marketing and communication outcomes
  • Partner with all teams, external agencies and vendors to oversee production, quality and delivery of all marketing materials
  • Oversee contact list...gathering, maintaining, delegating work

Job qualifications:

● Solid experience in managing and leading SEO/SEM, display advertising, social media, email and marketing database campaigns

● Capable of managing several projects at once

● Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and communication skills

● Strong writing skills

● Extensive experience with social media platforms

● Understanding of social media analytics

● Ability to problem solve and meet deadlines

● Comfortable working independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment

● Proficient in design and editing software - Adobe Creative Suite, screencast software/apps

● Proficient in Google Drive, Dropbox

● Self motivated

● Impeccable attention to detail

● Strong project management skills

● 5+ years of marketing & education experience preferred

● Provide portfolio upon request

● Understanding of and a passion for Education and/or educational marketing preferred

Compensation: $35,000 - $40,000 a year (this is a part-time role)
