Marketing Manager

Boardworks Education - Remote - Full time

The Marketing Manager will drive various aspects of marketing, including marketing campaigns and strategies, growing name & brand recognition, external event strategies, social media, project management, media relations, and more. This person identifies, creates, and maintains marketing collateral around customer solutions and ensures that our marketing efforts align with the goals of the Business Development and Sales teams.

The right candidate must have the ability to think ahead, work independently, but also contribute cross-functionally to benefit the business, drive go-to-market plans, and have the confidence to speak up and lead. While impeccable project management skills sit at the core of this role, this individual will also need to contribute at the strategic level to drive all marketing initiatives, interface with our development partners, and lead partners.


  • Create and manage marketing objectives, strategies, and policies both externally and internally in alignment with sales goals and plans.
  • Translate the marketing vision into specific projects, action plans, and tactics.
  • Develop strategic communications plans to attract and retain new customers.
  • Understand customers’ needs and pain points, as well as product impact on behalf of customers, in order to shape campaign messaging.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of top strategic growth opportunities, initiatives, and services for marketing, lead generation, and customer retention.
  • Track, measure, and communicate the performance of campaigns and results (ROI, KPIs, etc) to demonstrate the effective and efficient use of resources and ensure continuous improvement..


3+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS

Experience managing external contractors and marketing resources

Excellent copywriting skills

Experience with K-12 education or EdTech

Experience with InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Photoshop, Canva or similar tools

Experience in events planning for conferences and networking events

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with website management, CRM data management, SEO, and digital advertising

Experience in leading, coaching and mentoring direct reports

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs including Excel and PowerPoint

Experience working directly with a variety of stakeholders, including executive-level like school district leaders

Understanding of best practices in sales pipeline building, lead scoring and lead nurturing

Proficiency with digital marketing automation tools and platforms such as Instapage, ActiveCampaign, and Zapier

A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English or Education is preferred.
