Marketing Manager

Beereaders Inc. - Austin, Texas or Remote - Full time

Beereaders' digital Spanish reading comprehension product is currently being used by over 300 schools and 130,000 students in Latin America after only a year, and it is just being launched in the U.S. market. We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our small but fast-growing team who will be responsible for planning, driving forward, and growing Beereaders' marketing and sales success. The ideal candidate is a dynamic ed tech marketing pro with 3-10 years of experience in product marketing in the U.S. K-12 educational market, an understanding of the bilingual/dual language/ELL markets, and a passion for making an impact in the education market as a key team member of a fast-moving and passionate start-up company. This new position will be responsible for planning and hands-on execution of the marketing strategies and tactics that will ensure a successful U.S. market launch of the company's Spanish reading comprehension platform, as well as developing sales of this and our future products in the market. 

Strong communication skills in English and Spanish and a Spanish heritage language background are a decided advantage, but some proficiency in Spanish and a background in a multicultural environment are critical for success in this position.

  • Develop and implement a product marketing plan and US go-to-market strategy aimed at our target customers and designed to maximize product sales in bilingual, dual language and heritage language programs in districts with large Spanish-speaking student populations.
  • Master the product and become a resource to others in its use and features.
  • Collaborate with a passionate and talented young team based throughout the Americas to plan and successfully implement innovative and responsive marketing and customer support, before and after the sale. 
  • Effectively use company productivity tools to analyze results of marketing campaigns, communicate with internal and external teams, and work efficiently.
  • Train sales representatives on the product and its features.
  • Generate leads for sales via a variety of methods.
  • Plan and host virtual and live conference presentations, webinars, and seminars, both to market and promote the product to new customers and to support customer success.


  • 3+ years of experience marketing and selling ed tech products and services in the U.S. K-12 education/edtech industry, with experience in the bilingual/dual language/ELL/reading market a real plus.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and team collaboration skills. 
  • Bilingual fluency (English and Spanish) a significant advantage. Some Spanish proficiency and/or a Spanish heritage/multicultural background are very important. 
  • Self-starter: takes initiative, ability to work productively in dynamic, fast-moving start-up environment. Resourceful, flexible, driven, hands-on capabilities, fast learner.  
  • Team player: effective communicator, with demonstrated ability to work in multi-functional teams, contribute ideas, and learn from others to achieve common goals.
  • Facility with new technologies and platforms. 
  • K-12 teaching experience a plus.  

Job Functions

  • Train remotely to master product understanding and the ability to demonstrate and market the solution to school districts in key markets. 
  • Develop and implement a successful U.S. go-to-market strategy for the Beereaders' Spanish reading comprehension product which includes:
  • Writing and implementing a product marketing plan
  • Setting up pilots and early adopters, monitoring these sites to ensure success, and leveraging user data and feedback for marketing and sales. 
  • Product management, including gathering customer input on product, competitive research, 
  • Development of print and digital collateral and sales support materials
  • Planning and conducting successful direct marketing, database marketing, and digital marketing campaigns and analyzing results
  • Implementing ongoing social media marketing
  • Planning virtual and in-person webinars, seminars and workshops to develop new customers for 
  • Manage company participation in events and conferences
  • Advertising and PR
  • Ensure that marketing information flow is two-way, that is, from the company to the market, and from the market back to the company in the form of market research, product feedback, data, trends in the market, etc.
