Marketing Manager, Curriculum Products

The Marketing Manager owns the go-to-market strategy, planning and marketing execution for our PreK-8 suite of curriculum programs. The Manager designs and produces campaigns, collateral, sales tools and customer experiences that increase market share and meet or exceed revenue targets. As the internal product champion, the Marketing Manager contributes to all aspects of the product lifecycle from product vision, research, testing and go-to-market planning to operational execution, branding, promotion, and ROI analysis and reporting.


  • Creates the PreK-8 product marketing strategy for the EiE team...including omnichannel campaigns by product for our suite of engineering and computer science programs and themes that resonate with various audiences to support the $7.5M product line and fuel adoption growth of our multi-million-dollar digital platform.
  • Accountable for the product integrity and overall clarity of EiE product materials and timely delivery of all content concepts, presentations, brochures, web content, blog posts, articles, success stories and deliverables which contributes to the overall timely development, go-to-market release and marketing of grades PreK through grade 8 print curricula programs totaling 66 units (350+ pages each) with the potential for 2-10 more units in development over 1-3 years and digital release of 50 units of content Q4 and an additional 16 units of content in fiscal year 2021. The online platform serves hundreds of videos, thousands of art assets and 20,500 screens of online content for teachers.
  • Generates regular content, communications and innovative cross-channel campaign strategies that generate leads and drive potential for sales ($8M in revenue).
  • Interacts with 6-10 sales and professional development managers, vendors, customers, and other partners regularly to clarify messaging, collect success stories and to drive pilots and event registration.
  • Defines and implements integrated marketing strategies for a variety of campaigns, including 10+ social media and event campaigns, 2 to 3-5 lead generation campaigns a year, 1 to 2 new product launches a year, and 5 to 10 state specific campaigns per year.
  • Serves as influential collaborator for 6-10 sales and professional development managers, working to support development and execution of impact stories and region-specific strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and lead conversion.
  • Conceptualizes and uses abstract thinking to translate research data into dozens of infographic assets by working on the messaging and data points with the Visual Designer (who translates the data to visual graphics).
  • Identifies quality use of testimonials, quotes and other leads from hundreds of customers or sales to generate new articles and material for collateral.
  • Decision-making in the areas of product marketing strategy and messaging that including a competitive advantage. Ensures ease of selling and marketing story for the EiE products.
  • Serves as EiE brand ambassador at events and on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn).


This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.


Director, Curriculum Marketing


  • Bachelors of Science or Arts degree.
  • 5 or more years of marketing communications and product marketing experience.
  • Experience in K-12 curriculum or educational technology market
  • Experience working on a team with other roles including designers, writers, product, QA and technical.
  • Demonstrated skill in developing compelling campaigns and product positioning in B2B and B2C channels
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively for diverse audiences
  • Understanding of integrated campaign planning, management and analysis
  • Understanding of best practices across different forms of digital media.
  • Basic skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
