Marketing Automation Manager, Education

As the Marketing Automation Manager on Rosetta Stone Education’s Marketing Operations Team, you’ll use the latest marketing technologies in email automation, CRM, and web to support the execution of national and regional campaigns. The role requires strategic, technical and analytical skills, but but creative vision, as well as project- and time-management skills are critical.

Marketing Automation Platform Administration

  • Create and maintain a best-practice Eloqua implementation.
  • Manage standard operating procedures for the creation of marketing programs within Eloqua, acting as the primary “power user” to cross-train and support marketing users on the best-practices.
  • Manage marketing data governance and ensure database health through maintenance, data enrichment and cleansing programs.
  • Respond to service tickets across the network, troubleshoot and resolve marketing automation issues within defined Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensure marketing teams are enabled to execute demand generation strategies through use of marketing automation platform and other workflow tools.
  • Segment and analyze prospect database for targeted campaigns.
  • Test and analyze workflow, lead generation, lead nurturing and lead scoring.
  • Manage technical aspects of key marketing automation systems such as Eloqua and Salesforce.com utilized to generate, score, nurture, distribute, and report on leads.
  • Identify tactics for improvement.
  • Manage the technical requirements planning of marketing automation and integration with Salesforce and collaborate with Sales Operations for implementation.
  • Drive the strategic effort to optimize lead generation by integrating automation systems through Eloqua, Salesforce.com, the website, and our digital marketing platforms.
  • Implement best practices, assist with implementing new platforms and integrating existing martech stack with 3rd party tools.
  • Build out of campaign logic as needed in Eloqua.
  • Oversee marketing qualified lead distribution system and follow-up process, including lead assignment logic, lead source definition and reporting.
  • Create and maintain metrics reports and analyze marketing data to develop insights, measure ROI and make recommendations on areas for optimization.

Work collaboratively with marketing, sales and operation teams

  • Collaborate with key internal partners to develop marketing automation campaigns, email marketing materials and resources for all our target audiences.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations, Sales and Marketing Teams to develop processes that continually improve database quality through data enrichment and data quality scoring.
  • Enable teams to build nurture campaigns for audiences along buyer and customer journeys.

Analyze campaign performance and share best practices

  • Support management, marketing peers, and sales with lead generation and conversion reports from Eloqua.
  • Develop scheduled and incremental reporting with the ability to compile and review raw data.
  • Leverage insights from the organization and industry benchmarks to optimize campaign performance and content.
  • Enable tools for teams to conduct A/B tests and analyze email and nurture campaign performance.
  • Share reports, insights and best practices and work to optimize our performance.

Skills and Experience

  • 4 -6 years managing marketing automation / operations.
  • Minimum 2 years of proficiency with a marketing automation platform (Eloqua 10 preferred).
  • Functional knowledge of digital demand generation, content marketing and email marketing as it relates to marketing automation.
  • Basic web development and design skills with proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and online form data capture with Eloqua and Salesforce.com integration (experience with a CMS like Drupal a plus).
  • Experience building and implementing a testing and optimization strategy to improve email, landing pages, and website performance.
  • Excellent reporting and analytics skills to drive strategy with a solid understanding of reporting tools such as Eloqua Insights, Salesforce.com, and Google Analytics.
