Marketing and Community Manager

Writable - Remote - Full time

Writable, an award-winning digital literacy program serving over 16,000 schools and districts, is looking for a dynamic Marketing & Community Manager. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our Head of Marketing to cultivate an enthusiastic learning community of educators, driving strategy and engagement. Your mission will be to create compelling content, develop and execute on strategy, and foster strong relationships across various platforms, contributing to our growth and positive impact in the edtech space.

What You’ll Do:

  • Establish goals and roadmaps for building a robust, positive, and supportive online learning community that aligns with our brand and business.
  • Build and manage our first ambassador program.
  • Work closely with our partners at HMH on social media, content, and lead generation.
  • Craft schedules and strategy for social posting across platforms, including paid social posts and Google Ads.
  • Monitor, track, and report on community engagement, social media metrics, and ads while continually optimizing our approach.
  • Create compelling content, including social posts, short videos, webinars, community engagement emails, and blogs, that resonates with our educator audience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer success, to ensure a cohesive brand and content experience.
  • Stay on top of the latest trends in edtech and social media, bringing innovative ideas to our marketing efforts.

About You:

  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience in marketing or community/social management
  • A background in ELA instruction.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated ability in community growth and/or social media management.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills that you use to goal set and then evaluate and refine your strategies for success.
  • Hands-on experience with reporting, marketing, and creation tools like Hubspot and Canva, or other similar content creation tools. An interest in using the newest generative AI tools is a plus.
  • A strong communicator, a cross-functional collaborator, and self-motivated with the ability to own their work.
  • A desire to support teachers with their daily needs through community, communication, and creative solutions.
  • You have an eye for design while incorporating brand guidelines.
