Manager, Strategic Partnership

WHO WE ARE SEEKING:

An individual who is highly organized, has strong research and writing skills, and is an excellent communicator and relationship builder to join our team as a Manager, Strategic Partnerships. You will use these skills to support the development and management of new and existing partnerships with national and international education organizations and tech companies.

The Manager, Strategic Partnerships is a critical part of the overall partnership development process. You will help to cultivate and maintain relationships among partner organizations to ensure improved learning opportunities for teachers and students. This position is also charged with championing and managing new partnerships for ISTE/ASCD. You will use your advanced writing skills to build compelling partner communications, and your creative networking and planning skills to deliver impactful events and experiences. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner Development

  • Support the identification and development of prospective partnerships.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries regarding new partnerships, aligning ISTE/ASCD’s needs with external partner goals.
  • Maintain a general understanding of partnership opportunities across the organization.

Partnership Management

  • Oversee management of new partnerships, ensuring product deliverables are met with consistent communication between ISTE/ASCD and partner organizations.
  • Organize and manage coalition meetings, partner communications, and events.
  • Proactively seek out ways to deepen existing partnerships.
  • Serve as lead Salesforce Administrator for the partnerships team, ensuring consistent data management and reporting across the organization.

Communications

  • Contribute to concept and proposal development through writing and conceptualizing narrative that illustrates the impact of potential new partnerships.
  • Work with team members to develop compelling communications to illustrate partnership impact. This includes collecting and analyzing data to design and develop progress reports and newsletters.
  • Work with internal teams to maintain and update Partnership websites.

WHAT MATTERS TO US:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or communications or equivalent work experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in a fundraising or business development role
  • Experience in partnership and/or donor development in a non-profit organization
  • Strong project management experience, with the ability to independently coordinate multiple projects and stakeholder relationships. 
  • Experience with professional writing, such as proposals, grant applications and newsletters
  • Proactive team member, with the desire to support the collective success of the team.
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with comfort leading meetings A strategic and creative thinker, with a passion for education innovation.
