Position Overview
BellXcel seeks an analytical leader to own our end-to-end business operations data journey. You will collaborate with senior leaders from across the organization to define, analyze, and report on the health of our business with a focus on Sales, Marketing and Product Analytics. This high-visibility role reports to the VP, Business Intelligence and will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our organization.
Position Accountabilities
The Manager, Research and Analytics will build a vision related to how we can tell the story of our business through data. They will partner with our business leaders to form a common vision on how best to leverage our data and then will partner with their Business Intelligence peers to build and deploy automated solutions to meet those needs. A successful candidate will be passionate about translating data into meaningful insights and seeing their analysis drive real world decisions. The Manager, Research and Analytics will also be responsible for developing research to better understand the correlation of data across systems and how use it to drive change.
Specific Accountabilities
- Build data flows and dashboard that provide visibility for high-velocity functions in the customer journey
- Shape ongoing business data and analytics, focused on Sales, Marketing, and product usage to uncover opportunities to improve our core business operations
- Drive continuous innovation and insights by enhancing recurring business process with tools such as operations dashboards and monthly analytical reviews
- Develop roadmap, run planning meetings, and foster cross-team collaboration to execute complex projects
- Perform hands-on data analysis and communicate the impact to senior management
- Stay informed on the latest Business Intelligence technologies and trends to deliver world class solutions for your stakeholders
- Build and execute research plans to create insights that guide our business
Position Requirements
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field
- 5+ years industry experience building successful analytical solutions
- Working experience in at least 1 data programming language (SQL, Python, R, SAS, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performance analytics projects with a strong internal customer service mentality
- Experience writing technical white papers to share the findings from key research projects
- Experience with data visualizations using Tableau, MicroStrategy or similar tools
- Highly curious with a deep understanding and savvy about how to leverage data and information to drive outcomes
- Expert in partnering with senior leaders across the organization to translate complex business problems into actionable project plans
- Relentlessly high standards to focus on the operations of our business and constantly question if there is a better way to approach problems
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to adapt to change with resilience and creativity
- Self-starter, quick learner, and passionate problem solver
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to establish and strengthen relationships across teams
