Manager, Partner Engagement

Position Summary

An integral member of the Services Team, the Manager, Partner Engagement is responsible for managing, cultivating and supporting a growing pipeline of school and district leaders seeking to schedule high quality professional development for their teachers. This position will provide inbound sales expertise and pipeline management for the Services Team and larger organization. The Manager, Partner Engagement will also work collaboratively across the organization in support of organizational initiatives and projects in addition to internals and external events.


Represent BIE by communicating, over phone and email, to incoming school and district leads about what products, online resources, and professional development are available in BIE’s suite of services.

Cultivate and manage pipeline of incoming requests, leads, and returning clients.

Ensure accurate service pipeline data in, generating reports for forecasting, providing guidance and expertise to incoming data requests.

Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.

Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, working cross functionally with sales, finance, marketing, operations, and the district services team.

Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Abilities:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field.

At least two-years experience client management and/or sales experience; Experience in customer service, marketing and K-12 education, specifically public school district experience is strongly preferred.

Proven ability to close inbound sales inquiries, totaling $3 million plus in revenue within a complex contracting and procurement environment.

Excellent technical skills with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); experience with or other CRM database, strongly preferred.

Comfort in learning and teaching new technology platforms.

Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to establish a rapport from cold calls to emails to in-person meetings.

Travel time is required in this position. You can expect to travel at least 5% of the time, but the organization may need you to travel more or less depending on business necessity.

Reporting & Relationships:

The Manager, Partner Engagement reports to the Senior Manager, Professional Services. They will have critical collegial relationships across the BIE organization, including the Marketing Team, Finance Team, the Director of Partnership Development and the District Leadership team.
