About the Opportunity

As the People Analytics Manager at Green Dot California you will be part of the founding Human Resources team. You are responsible for all of the human resources and human capital data and metrics associated with all employees across the network. With the support of your manager, the Director of Human Resources, you will work to define critical talent data requirements, metrics and reporting frequencies necessary for effectively analyzing trends and predicting future trends in areas like recruitment and retention, employee engagement and performance and professional learning needs. Your insights will help senior leaders make thoughtful decisions related to our people and talent function.

What You’ll Do

The People Analytics Manager is responsible for the following in addition to any other projects as determined by their manager, the Director of Human Resources:

Data & Analysis

  • Synthesize data, metrics and analysis across different functions of Human Resources, multiple systems, internal and external sources and integrate into a holistic, actionable direction
  • Manage or assist with the development, preparation, and analysis of ongoing and ad-hoc reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data collection
  • Establishing ongoing monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis across Human Resources initiatives
  • Develops deep expertise in data critical to the transformation to generate insights on presentations and documentation to various levels of stakeholders
  • Servers as a data storyteller around network change through the use of presentations, data modeling, and visualization tools like Tableau, etc.

Information Technology Management

  • Lead in the continuous improvement of the HRIS system (Workday) to automate HR processes, increase employee self-service, and ensure accurate employee data and timely reports for payroll processing and compliance reporting
  • Guide others regarding Workday configuration changes to support the managing of employee information changes (transfers, promotions, demotions, terminations, etc.), payroll and benefits updates, and changing information in appropriate systems
  • Support the the design of an automated/integrated workforce management strategy related to employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Works with senior leaders in HR, Talent and IT to define and implement standard processes and controls to maintain data integrity across systems.

How You’ll be Measured

At the end of Year 1 you will have worked with the Director of Human Resources to understand and report on holistic data patterns to support talent operations activities. You will have identified ongoing data trends, conducted deep analysis, and developed insights and themes across our workforce to help to drive action planning within our network as it relates to the full employee lifecycle at Green Dot California. You will have developed and implemented ongoing monthly, quarterly, and annual analytics and dashboards across high value initiatives (e.g., recruitment, attrition, on-boarding, credential, etc). WorkDay will be well on its well to being fully leveraged by all member of the Talent and HR teams, meaning that not only is there data fidelity in the system based on the systems you’ve put in place, but that there are support materials for staff on how to use and maintain the system properly.

Additional Qualifications

  • 5+ years professional experience in human capital consulting, organizational psychology, or program management
  • WorkDay analytics with exposure and understanding of reporting a plus
  • Experience with statistical analysis tool like STATA, SAS, SPSS, Python or R a plus

  • A competitive compensation package. The salary range for this position is between $75,000-$90,000 and is based on experience. You will also qualify for a $2500 signing bonus.
