Manager, District Relationships

CenterPoint Education Solutions - Washington D.C., District of Columbia or Remote - Full time

The Manager, District Relationships works closely with the COO, CEO, and sales and marketing team to drive growth of the organization. The position is responsible for helping to establish CenterPoint’s growth strategy and for managing sales throughout the entire process—including setting strategic growth goals, building and maintaining relationships with district and school leaders, identifying solutions, drafting proposals, managing pipelines, and closing deals. The Manager, District Relationships also will provide ongoing leadership for key clients to ensure consistent communication and strong relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with CenterPoint Executive Team to develop strategy for growth

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with district and school partners throughout their engagement with CenterPoint—including identifying and qualifying prospective partners, nurturing relationships from kick-off to close, ensuring quality delivery, and maintaining ongoing communication for future partnership opportunities

• Attend conferences on behalf of CenterPoint to build awareness of our products and services and connecting with educators in the field

• Conduct research on key state and national policy trends and legislation to support CenterPoint’s strategy and growth

• Work with potential clients to develop a customized solution that addresses their instructional needs, drafting proposals and conducting demos as needed

• Work with the products and services team to oversee and ensure successful delivery and implementation of work, providing content development and/or delivering professional learning to schools/districts as needed

• Track progress against targets, communicating with CEO and COO around progress and risks

• Work with COO to develop key metrics and routines for tracking progress and reviewing/refining strategy

• Maintain and update HubSpot platform (CenterPoint’s CRM) to capture sales activities, leads, and deals

• Work with the marketing team to ensure sales and marketing activities are closely coordinated

REQUIREMENTS

• Commitment to CenterPoint’s mission and organizational values

• Experience in building strong relationships with district and school leaders and partner organizations

• Experience in identifying solutions to support district and school success

• Experience with direct sales or business development

• Classroom and/or district-level experience

• Problem solver and strategic thinker with a team-player approach to work

• Exceptional interpersonal skills

• Ability to interact with the most senior levels of an organization and work collaboratively across the organization

• Experience in developing curriculum and assessments or in providing professional learning a plus

• Experience in strategic planning and execution, including new product launches, a plus

• Experience with marketing a plus

• Ability to travel a must (up to 40%)

• Experience with CRM systems or the interest in learning (CenterPoint uses HubSpot)
