Position Summary:

We are looking for an exceptional math-oriented teacher to design and implement a cutting edge computer science and computational thinking curriculum bringing coding, robotics and more to students daily. You’ll collaborate with K-4 teachers to integrate coding into traditional content areas throughout the school curriculum.

You will use data to drive your instruction, consistently assessing and reassessing student learning to ensure each child’s unique needs and goals for growth are met. You will also support your students’ holistic development by implementing social-emotional programing including Restorative Justice, Mindfulness and PBIS – Positive Behavior Intervention Supports.  


  • Collaboratively design and implement curricula and activities
  • Teach computational thinking and programming to elementary school students, from foundations of technology to software development
  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate coding and robotics into traditional content areas throughout the school curriculum
  • Support and/or run the Makers Space and Robotics Team
  • Implement and support school wide social emotional programming.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Approach professional development with commitment and reflection.

  • Preferred but not mandatory: Proven track record of high achievement in the classroom

  • Proven ability to design engaging and rigorous lessons


  • Comfort with technology: skills in navigating computer hardware and software
  • Organizational skills: ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
  • Analytical and problem solving ability:
    • Use data to drive instruction and results
    • Ability to deeply understand each student’s needs and help them achieve their goals
  • Communicates effectively with others: shares ideas directly and respectfully & advocates for needs
  • Comfort with case management of approximately 90 students in the grade level
  • Spanish speaking preferred, but not required


  • Bachelor’s Degree
