About the role

Dig Inn is seeking a Learning Experience Manager to join our Learning & Development team. You’re inspired by the act of learning and the pursuit of knowledge, and are committed to developing people. You’ll use your knowledge of learning and education to craft our learning and development programs for growing culinary leaders. You will be reporting to the Chief People Officer.

About the team

The Learning & Development team embodies the Dig-ism “Nurture the Next Crop,” dedicated to growing chefs and culinary leaders from within. We’re committed to building a career path by bringing on every team member as a Chef-in-Training, whether they’re is coming in as a seasoned pro or they’ve never held a knife. We build community internally through innovative leadership development, like book clubs with our COO, and culinary growth opportunities like cooking with our Culinary Director at special events and visiting the Dig Inn farm.

You have

3- 5 minimum years creating digital and offline educational content or curriculum

Familiarity with adult curriculum construction best practices (backward design, problem-based learning, et al), and current educational and assessment trends

The ability to implement principles of learning in any situation, always keeping the user/audience in mind

Thoughtful, authentic, and efficient communication style, both oral and written. High command of English (Spanish is a plus!)

Strong public speaking skills. Enjoys speaking with anyone from hourly restaurant teams to interns to leadership

Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for details

Interest in food and hospitality and the ability to immerse yourself within the project and take a "hands on" approach

Tech savvy in all things Google, Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and LMS platforms (bonus points for Wrike, Slack, and Adobe Creative Suite)

Passionate about creating an innovative learning process for a fast-paced restaurant start up. Comfortable in an evolving environment

You will

Curate and develop content, including culinary techniques, business acumen, and leadership/professional development, working directly with the Learning & Development and Operations teams 

Immerse yourself in our scratch kitchens to understand our unique place in the restaurant world

Evaluate ‘learning experience’ content and analyze pedagogical strategies against the targeted performance and knowledge based outcomes.

Create learning experiences and pair this instructional content and assessments to targeted performance and knowledge based outcomes.

Leverage varied solutions including graphic design, infographics, software, video recording, screen-shares, interactive games, and animations

Ensure all materials are proofread, align with Dig Inn brand standards, and are in the Dig Inn voice

Assist in the design and formatting of information, including but not limited to templates, presentations, and other materials

Be an internal brand ambassador for Dig Inn

Travel

20-30% to support new restaurant openings on the East coast and beyond
