Our team is seeking an experienced instructional designer as we continue to build digital tools and content to support the successful implementation of our Literacy solutions. This person will be responsible for prioritizing, developing, and maintaining digital resources to support the implementation of the Lexia portfolio of literacy solutions and LETRS suite of professional learning products in schools and districts across the US.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a general understanding of the components of the LETRS suite of products (LETRS, LETRS for Early Childhood Educators, and LETRS for Administrators) – including deep knowledge in the science of reading, pedagogical underpinnings, best practices, implementation models as well as internal Lexia systems and processes.
  • Design and construct product implementation resources, instructional guides, and training materials that support educators with opportunities for practical application.
  • Periodically observe customer success meetings to understand how materials are being delivered in the field.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to analyze feedback from professional learning sessions, LETRS platform feedback, and other analytics to identify areas of opportunity to improve implementation and incorporate this information into the creation of materials.
  • Partner with key members of Customer Success to collect feedback and support an iterative process of design and development of implementation materials for milestones articulated in Success Partnerships.
  • Work closely with other Learning Architects to ensure consistency across products.
  • Collaborate with team members to project manage key milestones and establish clear timelines for the development and deployment of materials.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure materials developed align with adult learning best practices, research, and best practices for accessibility and equitable representation.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required. An advanced degree in literacy is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge in Science of Reading, structured literacy, and implementation science
  • Knowledge of content in the LETRS suite of products preferred.
  • Training and/or certification in instructional design and andragogy required.
  • At least 5 years of K-12 teaching and 3-5 years in educational administration or coaching experience implementing curriculum including professional development initiatives required.
  • Outstanding organization, presentation, and communication skills required.
  • Experience with digital tools such as Camtasia, Articulate 360, InDesign as well as collaboration software such as WebEx, etc. is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
