Lead Learner

BrainPOP - New York or Remote - Full time

We're seeking a Lead Learner with a passion for equity and empowering English language learners to join our professional learning team. This position will be part of the BrainPOP Educators team, reporting to the Director of Professional Learning. Our headquarters are based in New York City, but this role can be a remote position.

As a Lead Learner, you will support and guide customers to effectively use BrainPOP for teaching and learning. In this full-time position, you will develop and lead virtual training experiences, including webinars, online courses, and more. Future work will involve travel for onsite workshops. In addition, you will leverage your expertise to support developing customized workshops and content such as lesson plans. You will advise on aligning BrainPOP to curriculum and state or national standards.


  • Inspire customers by delivering webinars and workshops meaningful to their needs and interests
  • Develop/write/implement customized professional learning experiences to support ELL teachers.
  • Create teacher support content for publication on BrainPOP Educators.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from customers to improve BrainPOP products.
  • Support curriculum alignment services.

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage your teaching and training background to inspire and motivate customers to use BrainPOP effectively for teaching and learning.
  • Support specific customers with multi-lingual student populations or populations of ELLs.
  • Work closely with success and account manager teams to assure customer health.
  • Build BrainPOP’s capacity for delivering professional services.

You are:

  • Deeply knowledgeable of approaches to English Language Learning
  • A passionate advocate for best practice in teaching and learning.
  • Empathic to the needs of students and teachers.
  • An advocate for your ideas, and passionate about implementing them.
  • Able to build strategies from the ground up, as well as committed to iterating on existing processes and solutions.
  • Fluent in professional learning best practices, both online and in person.

On Your Resume

  • 5+ years of teaching experience in US based k-12 schools
  • Success leading remote learning experiences for teachers
  • Experience using technology to teach ELLs
