Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and creative Lead Guide to join our team. At Acton Morristown, Guides act as mentors and coaches, supporting students in their unique learning journeys rather than delivering traditional instruction. You will inspire learners in a collaborative, mixed-age studio environment, helping them discover their strengths, set goals, and pursue their passions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a learner-driven studio environment where students are encouraged to set their own academic and personal goals.
- Lead engaging Socratic discussions, real-world projects, and collaborative learning experiences.
- Design innovative learning challenges that reflect the principles of self-direction, accountability, and creativity.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with students, guiding them to grow as independent learners.
- Work closely with fellow Guides and parents to create a cohesive, supportive learning community.
- Embrace the cycle of innovation, encouraging students to learn from failure and persist in the face of challenges.
