K12 Sr Account Executive - Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware

Be part of our growth in the North East Region as a Senior Account Executive for Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware! Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, help us provide districts with software and implementation services proven to help all students of all abilities become proficient readers!

Ideal candidate for this role will reside in or near Philadelphia, PA.

Role Objectives:

  • Directly manage accounts within an assigned geographical territory:
    • Develop and manage an overall action plan to achieve quota for your territory
    • Drive new sales for priority accounts
    • Drive renewals and expansion of existing priority accounts
    • Initiate and develop relationships with key decision-makers in priority accounts – from initial contact to close
  • Provide leadership and direction for a new Territory Specialist who manages school-level activities in large accounts
    • Development and execution of day-to-day work plan and activities
    • Establish goals and provide feedback and coaching on performance metrics to ensure successful attainment of sales objectives
    • Train, model and mentor on best practices for success in new business development and renewals
    • Evaluate and adjust the work plan to maximize the effectiveness of the overall Territory Specialist role
    • Collaborate with sales leadership team to refine and continuously improve the teams level of success

Essential Job Functions:

  • Traditional Account Executive position responsibilities:
    • Manage a geographic territory to achieve all sales goals
    • Lead and manage each step of a complex sales process
    • Market and targeted networking activities to identify and reach out to prospective customers
    • Research probable purchasers of Lexia products
    • Introduce Lexia over the phone or in person to create awareness/interest
    • Delivering excellent demonstrations to individuals and committees – both live and via webinar
    • Effectively communicating Lexia’s pedagogy, research, features and benefits
    • Working with school-level and district –level staff to build support for purchase
    • Developing implementation plans (pre-sales) for large accounts
    • Developing professional proposals and other professional communications
    • Collaborate with a team (Account Manager, Territory Specialist and Implementation Manager) to produce results for your territory
    • Maintain customer information, track activity and results using SalesForce (CRM), Excel for your territory other tools
    • Accurately input orders into billing and implementation systems with accuracy
    • Provide market feedback competitive information to Lexia management
    • Activity Levels: 12-16 sales meetings (telephone and/or onsite meetings)
    • Travel up to 60%+, while maintaining high productivity level
  • Oversee Territory Specialist in supporting flag-ship accounts within the territory
  • Serve as Lead for Philadelphia Taskforce in working with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Implementation and Support

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of successful sales and territory management experience within the preK-12 education market required
  • Experience with educational technology, reading/literacy based curriculum product knowledge highly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership ability among peers - taking initiative, coordinating projects, and modelling high levels of performance
  • Strong current knowledge of geographical territory and awareness of key K-12 education contacts
  • Demonstrated ability to uncover client needs, propose solutions to close new business opportunities and meet new revenue targets consistently
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver stellar product presentations to groups and individuals
  • Ability to develop meaningful account relationships and collaborate with management on strategies to achieve new revenue goals.
  • Successful track record of pipeline creation, pipeline management, continued progress in selling and closing towards goal achievement
  • Experience selling remotely and in-person
  • Professional and proficient usage of CRM tools (i.e. Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 60%+, while maintaining high productivity level
