K-12 SALES TEAM LEAD

Start Date: May 1st, 2020

Weekly Commitment: 40 hours/week

Compensation: $30 per hour + commission

Location: Flexible, Remote, Virtual Team

  • Developing high-quality K-12 curriculum, designed by a diverse group of educators with deep expertise in curricular design, Black culture and experiences, that situates Black identity and history in an accurate light.
  • Facilitating small online groups led by outstanding instructors, content specialists, artists, and other charismatic leaders.
  • Building a unique platform that enables our outstanding instructors, eager students, and world-class curriculum to interact.

What You’ll Do:

Reconstruction K-12 Sales Lead will be responsible for driving significant growth in our K-12 segment. You will be accountable for owning the selling relationship with charter schools, public schools, state departments of education and education service agencies. You will serve as our primary point of contact for prospects seeking to leverage our learning platform within their schools and afterschool, for the families they serve.

K-12 Sales Lead will:

  • Manage strategic goals and develop strategic account plans to meet sales goals.
  • Use your network to identify promising K12 sales targets.
  • Track, measure and manage sales pipeline through HubSpot and other sales reporting tools.
  • Fine-tune sales methodology/framework as your understanding of buying behaviors improves.
  • Work closely with Reconstruction team members to follow up and close sales opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Curriculum and Product leadership teams to effectively onboard new customers.
  • Recruit, mentor and develop junior sales executives as the volume of deals increase.
  • Analyze statistics and compile weekly sales reports.
  • Manage approved budget.
  • Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively via Slack, email, phone and video.
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions from prospects to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
  • Keep abreast of industry’s developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement.

We are looking for a K-12 Sales Lead who has:

  • Proven experience as a K-12 account executive for at least 5 years
  • A results-oriented operating style with a proven track record of success
  • Good understanding of computer systems, software and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • Committed to providing an unparalleled customer experience
  • Ability to think strategically and lead others

Technology Requirements

The K12 Sales Lead needs a personal telephone and an internet connection speed that will support remote work.
