Helios Ed is seeking a K-12 Partnership Evangelist to do outreach and help in sales and marketing to schools and districts. The ideal candidate would demonstrate a passion for education as well as technology, is collaborative and entrepreneurial in spirit, and who has awesome people skills.

The role is responsible for phone and marketing outreach, scheduling demos and meetings, setup conference presence, and help sales team with the sales cycle.

What you will be doing:

  • Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods
  • Do outreach to schools and districts via calls, emails, and other media
  • Schedule demos and meetings
  • Develop and qualify leads, and help sales team build a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings
  • Anticipate needs by studying services and conducting market research to identify new leads
  • Perform a mix of inside and onsite marketing activities including email campaigns, online posts, phone calls, virtual and onsite meetings with prospects and leads. (You will receive training on our tools)
  • Attend demos and meetings and help sales team with the sales cycle
  • Setup booth and assist in presenting at conferences and trade shows
  • Represent Helios in local/regional industry events, conferences, lunch and learns, and customer presentations
  • Other duties as assigned

What we will want you to have:

  • Experience of working in K-12, whether directly in schools or in ed-tech companies
  • Flawless communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong people and networking skills with a “relationship” approach
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a productive team member, making outbound calls every day
  • Ability to travel efficiently
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the US

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years in sales, marketing, account management, or similar experience in K-12. This is a requirement.
