Role Overview

The IT Project Management Office (PMO) Manager is responsible for planning, coordination, execution, control and completion of all IT projects using industry-standard project management principles and structure. The IT PMO Manager develops plans and documentation for project scope, product requirements, tasks, resources, budgets, timelines, quality and communications; actively manages risks to scope, cost and schedule; and regularly communicates progress and issues to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the IT Project Portfolio.
  • Act as project lead for assigned projects and takes initiative in leading project activities with minimal to moderate supervision.
  • Perform necessary research to understand workflows, requirements and expectations.
  • Works with the business to create the project charter.
  • Create and manage project plans to include task lists, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, quality assessments, testing(UAT), training, communications and project closure/handoff.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendor resources and positively manage relationships.
  • Manage and facilitate resolutions to project and product-related issues and risks.
  • Ensure deliverables meet established requirements and timelines.
  • Create meaningful reports (metrics/KPIs) to show progress, issues, and project portfolio status.
  • Use project management experience and technical knowledge to recommend best approaches to problem management and resolution.
  • Appropriately identify high impact issues/risks and act with a sense of urgency to escalate when necessary & resolve.
  • Use project standards and tools specific to the discipline of project management to design and manage project activities and tasks.
  • Attend to details as well as the big picture.
  • Treat colleagues and associates with respect and dignity, working in a collaborative manner.

  • Create project documentation that speaks to various audiences, modifying technical and project management language as appropriate for broader understanding.
  • Manage workload to allotted time and prioritize appropriately.
  • Ability to travel 25% (domestic/U.S.).
  • Manages project resources.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years project management experience implementing technology projects.
  • Jira, Asana, NETSUITE, Salesforce.com, Adaptive Insights, applications expertise preferred.
  • SaaS background required.
  • TechEd experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in Hybrid and Agile environments.
  • PMP Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Expertise in project management concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Intermediate skills in G-Suite, Slack, and Microsoft O365 environments.
