About the Role

The IT Operations Coordinator is responsible for the daily support of all aspects of the organization's technology environment including software, hardware, imaging, network, account management, and A/V. The IT Operations Coordinator ensures that all New Classrooms employees (both locally and remotely) receive friendly and proactive technical support. This full time role reports to the Director of IT Operations.

  • You have strong follow-through and regularly check-in on staff to ensure continued customer satisfaction.
  • You have a high degree of integrity and can skillfully navigate various priorities.
  • You are a detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.

What You Would Do

  • Provide timely and proactive full range of desktop support to all employees at the New York City office as needed
  • Provide remote desktop support to field-based employees
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity
  • Maintain phone, conference room, and video equipment in throughout the NYC office and its conference rooms
  • Lead technology onboarding with new employees and off-boarding for departures

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, required
  • Experience providing friendly customer service to diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
  • Experience providing Windows and macOS support
  • Familiarity with desktop imaging tools (Ghost, CloneZilla, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of A/V equipment (projectors, TVs, Apple TV, video conference units)
  • IT asset management and organizational skills
  • Experience with Google G Suite administration a plus
  • Ability to multitask by balancing competing needs and priorities
  • Ability to create effective processes and procedures
  • Interest in education or education technology, required
