We are currently seeking a highly motivated Internal Auditor to join our team. The position’s primary responsibilities include leading planning, testing, and reporting for SOX internal control projects, under the supervision of the Director of Internal Auditor. The candidate should be able to independently develop and execute test plans, document results, and communicate findings with management. Various other operational and consulting project work may be assigned.


  • Perform business and IT internal controls testing
  • Create high-quality work papers per the IIA professional standards
  • Monitor and communicate audit progress, obstacles, and issues to the Director of Audit
  • Discuss and confirm SOX findings with our business partners before sharing with the Director of audit
  • Provide support to the external audit team regarding audit testing questions
  • Maintain the company’s risk and control matrix
  • Manage the annual SOC1 reports review process
  • Manage SOX documentation requests using PwC’s Connect system
  • Assist on critical SOX project management activities including scoping and materiality, walkthrough meetings and process narratives, and creating a SOX program manual
  • Assist the operational audit team on process improvement projects as needed
  • Maintain general knowledge of public company regulatory and/or compliance issues



  • Thorough understanding of internal audit standards, procedures, techniques and frameworks such as COSO 2013
  • Minimum of two years of work experience related to SOX testing and internal audit
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and SOX 404 business process and IT general controls
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate financial and operational information and identify critical trends and anomalies
  • Familiarity with SAP a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with data analytics tools ACL or Arbutus a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation abilities
  • Domestic travel – up to 10%


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Working toward or completion of the CPA and/or CIA designation


  • Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing)
  • The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls and online meetings
