Intern, Marketing and Communications

BellXcel - Remote - Full time

Position Overview:

The Intern, Marketing and Communications will join a fast-paced, dynamic team to assist with a variety of activities in support of strengthening brand recognition, market exposure, and customer adoption in the education technology industry. The ideal candidate has excellent writing and communication skills, can easily juggle multiple assignments at once, can effectively interact with all levels of the organization, and has ability to adapt to change with resilience and creativity.

Position Accountabilities

  • Support the Marketing and Communications team in strengthening brand recognition, market exposure and customer adoption

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Develop a standardized playbook for marketing touchpoints throughout the customer journey
  • Migrate existing blog posts and landing pages to new format and site
  • Assist in content development for blog posts, website, and social media while ensuring brand voice aligns with overall marketing strategy
  • Help with departmental tasks and ad hoc requests
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to gather, update, and track collateral assets

Position Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a two- or four-year program at an accredited college or university, studying marketing or communications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative writing and copy-editing skills; the ability to tell stories with a strategic narrative
  • Working knowledge of graphic design programs is preferred
  • High level of self-motivation, curiosity, and creativity
  • Intern applicants must be residents of New England and have a permanent address in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island or Connecticut.

Program Overview

The BellXcel Summer Internship Program is designed to give qualified postsecondary students an opportunity to gain experience working for a national youth development expert in the ed-tech sector, while building skills and connections that will serve them in their postgraduate endeavors. The program includes professional development sessions and emphasizes the importance of exploring career pathways while creating impact in the communities BellXcel serves.

The 2023 BellXcel Summer Internship Program will run from 6/12/2023 - 8/11/2023. Interns are expected to work eight weeks, with a week of floating holiday included in the program schedule. The first week of the program will include an onsite at BellXcel headquarters in Westwood, MA. BellXcel will cover all travel costs associated with the onsite.

This is a paid program, open to students residing in New England. Applicants must have a permanent address in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Connecticut to be considered. Interns who complete all program requirements are eligible to receive an additional $2,500 scholarship paid directly to their educational institution at the conclusion of the program.
