Our tool is used by more than 7,000 teachers across the country as well as 70,000 students, and growing! On the student side, students evolve through different worlds and collect treasures as they go. They are given exercises on phonics, sight words, word families and comprehension. On the teacher side, a complete report is given to teachers so they can analyze their students’ strengths and weaknesses. Educators can also print weekly reports and invite families to use the platform at home.

About the position

We started selling actively to schools last summer. In the fall, we were swamped with inbound quote requests from teachers and administrators so we need to optimize our follow-up process to turn quotes into won deals. We are looking for a swiss army-knife: somebody to help shape our sales process as well as do a lot of the operational work. As the first member of our sales team, the candidate will take care of every step of our sales pipe, from beginning to end. A few of the missions include:

  • Strategic planning of our bottom-up sales flow, moving from teachers to schools and districts;
  • Designing and implementing automated email sequences in Hubspot to qualify product-incoming leads;
  • Speaking directly with qualified sales leads;
  • Presenting Lalilo through product demos;
  • Setting up school pilots when necessary;
  • Following up until the deal is closed;
  • Following up through implementation.

About you

We’re looking for somebody who:

  • Deeply cares about educators and can relate to them;
  • Has outstanding verbal and written skills;
  • Is eager to pound the phones and email daily to reach prospective customers;
  • Is very tech-savvy and able to thrive in a tech startup;
  • Is extremely organized and structured. Able to navigate in unstructured environments;
  • Pays attention to details and can multitask.
  • Is excited by the idea of joining an early-stage startup.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of inside sales experience
  • Detailed working knowledge of and comfort with Sales CRMs (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce)
  • Can travel to Paris (France) two times a year.

Appreciated

  • Experience in the K-12 industry
  • Experience as an educator
