Focusing on new customer acquisition as the primary measurement of success, an Eduplanet21 Inside Sales Representative (Small School/District) will be responsible for taking leads through the sales cycle to close in well-established, seeded, and new territories. The Inside Sales Representative must grow and maintain a large pipeline, and efficiently move prospects to close. This position will work closely with the Customer Success Managers in order to ensure a smooth handover from Sales to Customer Success, as well as closing upsell opportunities with existing customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets with a focus on new business acquisition.
  • Maintain high level of sales activity (phone calls, emails, demos etc.)
  • Responsible for full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
  • Identify and synthesize a customer’s need through discovery conversations and strong listening skills.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge.
  • Prospect regularly to support lead generation activities and pipeline growth as required.
  • Grow deep relationships and obtain referrals to new potential customers.
  • Work closely with Customer Success Managers to ensure smooth handover from sales to implementation and close on new upsell opportunities with existing customers.
  • Keep up-to-date on current trends and needs in K12 education.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous software sales experience, preferably with an education technology company.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong phone, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of sales activity (phone, email, meetings).
  • Passion for education and edtech with a desire to learn quickly and stay up-to-date with current trends and needs in K12 education.
  • Experience seeding and growing new territories a plus.
  • Experience working with or in K12 environment a plus.
  • High energy, engaging, friendly; Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • K-12 Curriculum Design and Professional Development knowledge a plus.
  • Technical aptitude with ability to learn software programs; other computer experience including Google Drive, Zoom, Insightly and Quotient.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
