Implementation Consultant, West Coast Region

Job Summary:

The main objective of the Implementation Consultant is to partner with and advise both new and existing Odysseyware clients. This consultation relationship focuses on gathering client data and providing guidance on designing a customized implementation plan. The ultimate goal of this relationship is providing a successful client implementation and ongoing support and guidance. A successful Implementation Consultant must attain mastery level knowledge of the Odysseyware program, the education industry, the competitive landscape, as well as closely following all market trends.

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts presentations/demonstrations/consultations in person, by phone and virtually
  • Ensures successful implementation by working with customers to develop customized implementation plans that are clear and concise and meet the customers' needs and expectations based on their goals and objectives
  • Manages the implementation process from inception of the project through completion including but not limited to data gathering, scheduling and facilitation/customer training
  • Develops and facilitates professional development and training sessions for school faculty and stakeholders. Provides additional coaching, mentoring and follow-up as needed
  • Provides timely communication to both internal and external stakeholders on the status of implementation progress
  • Provides exceptional customer service
  • Maintains documentation on customer contacts and shares information with internal team members
  • Develops and maintains customer and internal training documentation and content (i.e. user documentation, tutorials, etc.)
  • Extensive travel, including overnight stays
  • Other duties as assigned or necessary

Other Duties:

  • Develops and facilitates internal training for employees professional development

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Computer literate (MS Apps, Google docs, Web 2.0 Tools, etc.)
  • Understands CA state a-g requirements, applications, and trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills involving high-level communications with internal and external contacts and stakeholders
  • Polished presentation and facilitation skills
  • Possess excellent consultative skills including the ability to analyze, diagnose, and give expert advice or in this case recommend an appropriate implementation plan based on the information they have gathered from individual district/school administration or leadership
  • Ability to think outside the box to solve problems
  • Excellent organizational, time management and work prioritization skills
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Self-starter and work with limited supervisor oversight
  • Exceptional ability to organize work and tasks; attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Strategically think and understand business and industry; see the "big picture"
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees within the company in addition to customers and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and exercise independent and sound judgment
  • Work well both as part of a team or independently
  • Ability to accept and process customer dissatisfaction and offer solutions
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in process, requirements, goals, and organizational change
  • Ability to meet short deadlines

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) required; Master's Degree in Education a plus
  • A professional teaching license with 5 years of experience is highly desired
  • A minimum of three years of experience implementing technology programs in a school setting
  • A minimum of three years of experience consulting in the field of education
  • Experience training via a Webinar platform helpful
  • Experience teaching, developing, and applying curriculum standards in the K-12 setting
  • Experience in developing tutorials via Camtasia, Web 2.0 Tools, etc.
  • Experience in creating and delivering professional development to educators
  • Experience integrating technology software into the classroom
  • Project Management experience helpful
