Implementation and Curriculum Development Lead

Team Excel - Richmond, Virginia or Remote - Full time

Your Responsibilities

   Curriculum Development

  • Continue the development and evolution of the Team Excel curriculum to ensure that it utilizes evidence based practices
  • Collaborate with the strategy and technical team to transition elements of the curriculum into the mobile and web-based applications
  • Ensure that new app features are well-grounded in behavioral science by translating research findings into concrete ideas that can be applied to the product requirements
  • Further develop the Team Excel evaluation tools and techniques to measure the impact of the platform and program for customers and internal use
  • Assist in communicating the science behind the Team Excel methodology to a wider audience
  • Create case studies from existing Team Excel clients to demonstrate the platform’s effectiveness

   Onboarding & Training

  • Guide customers through the platform training and provide technical assistance during implementation to ensure customers are setup for success
  • Create and execute implementation plans by defining the timeline, teams, and the resources needed for success
  • Maintain and expand the Team Excel training materials, manual, and processes to ensure training is user-friendly and effective
  • Develop new training materials and videos to ensure efficient delivery of live and on-demand training
  • Organize, schedule and deliver the training for new and existing clients

   Implementation & Customer Support

  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a quality hand-off and seamless customer experience
  • Perform a needs analysis on new clients to determine the best implementation strategy that will produce their desired results
  • Work with the customer’s internal implementation team to conduct the planning and implementation of the Team Excel model. (Implementation may include elements of social-emotional learning, career exploration, service learning, and mentoring)

   Customer Relationship Management

  • Provide ongoing implementation support and manage customer relationships to ensure customers are achieving their desired outcomes
  • Ensure that customers are aware of new product developments and current best practices
  • Expand platform usage by collaborating with the sales team to expand account revenue and retention
  • Serve as an advocate for the customer to identify improvement areas in the platform, programming and processes


  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills including video conference, phone, and in-person
  • Excellent project management skills to include planning, organizing, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficient with software programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred
  • Comfortable with learning and instructing others on the use of custom software platforms and mobile applications
  • Experience with technical training is not required but beneficial
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment is not required but beneficial
  • Top-notch organization and attention to detail
  • Results driven with an entrepreneurial spirit


  • 5+ years instructional leadership or coaching experience
  • 5+ years teaching, youth development, or SEL development and implementation

Travel Requirements

Work will be primarily teleconference initially, but 20-30% travel may be required in the future.
