HR Operations Analyst

IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by 10 million students worldwide, has an exciting opportunity available for an HR Operations Analyst to grow with us as our 400+ person company continues to expand. The HR Operations Analyst will provide day-to-day support on the following functional areas: HR and recruiting systems support, benefits administration, compensation, worker’s compensation, and various HR-related projects.

This role will be responsible for the ongoing administration of Workday Tenant Management to support short and long term Human Resources goals. This position is directly accountable for the successful delivery of Workday projects and also responsible for maintaining the Workday platform with a focus on reporting (including scheduled reports), business process maintenance, security administration, data loads and data audits.

This is a full time position in our San Mateo, CA office.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Provide day-to-day direction and support on HR Operations and Total Rewards (compensation, benefits, health and wellness) programs
  • Maintain the Workday platform with a focus on reporting (including scheduled reports), business process maintenance, security administration, data loads and data audits
  • Responsible for Workday HCM and its integrations with external systems such as Active Directory, Benefit providers, etc.
  • Manage employee benefit programs such as medical/dental coverage, disability programs, group life insurance, 401(k) savings programs, and leaves of absence
  • Maintain and promote awareness of current trends in HR with a focus on benefits and wellness
  • Support compensation programs and salary planning in coordination with HR Generalists
  • Audits monthly billing for all group plans to ensure accuracy. Partners with our benefits brokers to ensure accurate filings and other compliance tasks as required
  • Manage annual open enrollment process and related employee communications
  • Maintain knowledge of and analyze government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations. Ensure compliance of benefits administration with federal and state laws.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of experience working in compensation, benefits administration, LOAs, and HRIS
  • Functional and technical knowledge of Workday, including deep knowledge of reporting and security, with at least 1 recent year on the platform
  • Experience performing data loads and audits of complicated data
  • Experience maintaining Workday business processes
  • Functional working knowledge of HR and Payroll processes a plus
  • Experience in health, wellness, and safety initiatives
  • Experience with Open Enrollment, LOA administration, and Retirement Plan Administration
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Process-oriented with an extremely high level of attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality/discretion
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a friendly, outgoing, and flexible manner

Preferred:

  • Workday Pro Certification in one or more functional areas
  • CCP/SPHR/PHR
