High School Special Education Math Teacher

Compass High School - San Mateo, California - Full time

The successful candidate will be able to teach high school math (e.g. Pre-Algebra, using the Math-180 program, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2) to students who range from talented math students to students who have mathematics disorders and/or learning disabilities in reading and written language. Experience and proficiency in math remediation is necessary. We are looking for a teacher who is creative, who uses multi-sensory teaching techniques, and who provides a structured classroom environment. A California special education teaching credential or progress towards one is preferred, as well as competency in the area of mathematics. Experience teaching students with special needs is required.
