Position Overview:

The Head of Product Management is the leader responsible for the strategy and execution of all language product-related activities at Rosetta Stone. This role works closely with the VP of Engineering to ensure that the outcome(s) deliver a world-class leading language learning experience that enables anyone to learn how to write, read, and speak with confidence.

The Head of Product must be a visionary and an avid evangelist of the product as well as a great leader and supervisor. You not only build diversity and inclusion into our products by design, but you help to build diversity and inclusion into our teams and culture across the company.

At a high-level, the responsibilities of this role include product vision, product strategy, product design, product development, and product marketing. This role reports directly to the President of the company and this role is a senior executive stakeholder across the entire company.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leading across functions such as product management and product analytics, to ensure professional development within these groups
  • Driving consensus of product vision and strategy, the business case and road map at the leadership level
  • Defining and deploying effective processes and open communications between teams within the Product Development organizations such as engineering, QA, content and curriculum teams
  • Defining product vision by building consensus from customers and stakeholders in an open and transparent manner
  • Partnering with UI/UX team to ensure that we build highly engaging and highly innovative products and services that contribute to both high conversion rates and high engagement rates
  • Managing individual performance as well as communicating performance goals and expectations
  • Leading the transformation of product ideas into actionable concepts, timelines and projects
  • Building a diverse and inclusive team and culture across the company

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years solid technical experience leading engineering organizations in technology oriented startups and established, successful companies
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required in engineering, computer science or related field
  • Proven leader in establishing climate, culture and strategic directions that drive success
  • Excellent communication skills: proven experience in developing relationships, building presence, and commanding respect with C-level
  • Executives both internally and externally
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within challenging time frames and ongoing change
