Head of Demand Generation (Remote - Eastern or Central Time Zone)

KickUp - Remote - Full time

Teachers have one of the most important jobs in the world, and they deserve exceptional professional growth opportunities. KickUp helps school districts deliver relevant, personalized professional learning so that both teachers and students thrive in the classroom.

We are looking for a Head of Demand Generation to create extraordinary marketing experiences for users at every stage of the customer lifecycle. Your work will be instrumental in creating a scalable revenue generation engine, including campaign strategy, ROI analysis and reporting, and driving the successful execution of marketing programs. This role is perfect for you if you’re a skilled B2B/SaaS demand-gen marketer seeking to take on strategic responsibilities while keeping your practical skills sharp in a nimble, hands-on team.

About You

We recognize that underrepresented groups such as women and BIPOC individuals are historically less likely to apply to a role if they don’t meet 100% of the listed qualifications. We encourage you to apply if you meet a majority of the qualifications and this role is aligned with your career trajectory.

You might be a good fit if you have the following:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience (preferably in B2B) with responsibility for the demand generation function at a SaaS company (particularly in Series A-B stage companies).
  • 1+ years of experience in a managerial/leadership role, with the ability to recruit, retain, and motivate both existing and future talent.
  • Experience working with marketing automation and CRM solutions (Salesforce and Hubspot experience a plus).
  • Proven record of successful campaign development across multiple channels and mediums, including digital marketing, email marketing, webinars, and live events.

Mindset and Skills

  • Take ownership for outcomes — you are comfortable with owning complex projects and are persistent when it comes to meeting goals and delivering quality results with timeliness.
  • Mission Driven — you have a passion for our mission and can articulate why it matters to you.
  • Entrepreneurial — you are data-informed (even when data is limited), scrappy, comfortable with ambiguity, and know the right questions to lead to clarity.
  • Performance-driven — you are a strong marketing project manager who sets clear KPIs, to meet and achieve objectives with an understanding of what is effective at each stage of the sales cycle
  • Communicator — you have strong written and communication skills (you can give the pitch!) with experience collaborating within team tools like Asana.

Your responsibilities

As the leader of a small team, your role breaks out into four main functions:

Planning and Strategy

  • Own and refine the strategy and execution of Demand Generation, driving leads and first meetings
  • Strategically plan programs across the entire sales cycle, including acquiring net-new customers, unsticking stalled opportunities and retaining/expanding established clients.

Team Leadership

  • Develop and manage a world-class marketing team by inspiring team members to push boundaries, and take calculated risks to produce high-impact results, and grow KickUp’s footprint.
  • Collaborate with teams across the company to ensure campaigns are aligned to targeted personas and defined value propositions.

Demand Generation Execution

  • Lead the execution of end-to-end marketing programs, including but not limited to email automation, inbound and external events, social media, and digital ad campaigns.
  • Create and manage the lifecycle of new inbound leads, including improving the conversion rates throughout the sales funnel.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, generate marketing qualified leads (MQLs), and drive qualified opportunities from KickUp’s key accounts.

Tracking and Measuring Results

  • Manage the creation of reports and dashboards for daily and executive-level needs.
  • Track, measure, and analyze campaign results, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Report and communicate Demand Gen’s goals and marketing impact across the organization.
