The Opportunity

As the Head of the Career Services team, you will own one of our most important goals: helping students find great jobs. You’ll be responsible for the strategy and quality of career support across all relevant Springboard programs. You will lead a team of career coaches empowering students and relationship managers building industry partnerships. You will have tremendous responsibility and impact within the company and will work closely with the founders and across the team.

Responsibilities

* Design and execute the strategy that guides the Career Services team in enabling successful career outcomes for every student. Consistently high student placement and satisfaction with career services will be the leading indicators of your performance

* Develop and track metrics to ensure a seamless, positive experience for both students and employer partners

* Devise policies and processes and ensure quality for each component of career support, including career resources in the curriculum, coaching calls, mock interviews, job matching, employer introductions, and our job guarantee (where applicable)

* Develop systems and tools (with product and engineering where needed) to streamline career services operations

* Continually solicit, review, and implement student, mentor, and employer feedback to improve career services

* Facilitate information flow amongst stakeholders to streamline operations and identify risks or impact

* Lead and grow our talented, dedicated team of career coaches, employer relationship managers, and career content developers

* Identify and cultivate relationships with the best employers in the US: both through personal and event-based outreach, and by working with Springboard mentors, students, and alumni to identify partnership opportunities in their companies

* Contribute to content that showcases the success of Springboard programs and students

You:

* have a track record of producing measurable results, meeting deadlines, and balancing multiple priorities and constituencies even in uncertain and rapidly-changing situations

* are a strategic thinker, comfortable setting ambitious goals and effectively executing on them

* are a collaborative leader with strong communication and people skills

* are a natural problem-solver and analytical decision-maker

* are comfortable leading a distributed, multi-functional team

* have a genuine interest in helping people advance in their careers; experience in the tech/digital talent industry - career services, recruitment, or coaching/advising - is a plus
