About Swing: 

On average, U.S. students are with substitute teachers for 5% of the typical school year. That means our students have substitute teachers for more than six months of their K-12 school career. The problem? We're suffering from a national shortage of substitute teachers.Swing Education is focused on tackling the substitute teacher shortage. We make it easy for great schools and quality subs to find each other. We help schools access more subs and offload tedious work (recruiting, screening, payroll, etc.) and we help subs find jobs, gain experience and build their professional network.

Swing is a revenue generating, Series B, YC company (through ImagineK12).

The Position: 

The Growth Marketing Associate, Onboarding will play a critical role in shaping our onboarding process and creating a positive experience with our platform. This person would be responsible for identifying opportunities to impact the experience for our teachers once they register. An ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, clear , a fast learner, resourceful, detail-oriented, and proactive. You must be flexible to work in a fast-paced, highly interactive and innovative environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute deliverables of innovative conversion strategy to motivate new substitute teachers to complete onboarding and get into the classroom, prepared and ready to go.
  • Conduct weekly info sessions and other hi-touch efforts with applicants to help them throughout the onboarding process
  • Track and collect conversion data for regional reports and presentations
  • Gather and convey platform feedback and cross over data to Product team
  • Coordinate in-person Swing community events, external recruiting events, and job conferences
  • Partner with Growth Marketing Specialist to prioritize opportunities for improvement; generate data-driven hypotheses that inform strategies for experiments and campaigns
  • Organize, process, and track payments for signing bonuses, reimbursements and activation promotions
  • Help identify obstacles and test solutions throughout the onboarding process with cross functional teams including Customer Experience and Product
  • Stay up-to-date with changes, releases, and enhancements in Swing’s platform that pertain to the set-up process
  • Provide overall administrative support for Head of Growth Marketing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial style, eager to take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and evaluate candidates.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion in managing and engaging diverse pipelines of talent
  • Outstanding time management skills, with proven ability to multi-task, accomplishing numerous tasks and changing priorities in an effective and timely manner
  • Proven ability to think analytically to solve complex problems
  • Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
