Field Sales Representative - Higher Ed (New England)

WHAT’S THE ROLE ABOUT? As a Field Sales Representative, you will be a key member of our dedicated and experienced sales team that sells VHL’s print and digital language education products to Higher Education colleges, universities and programs within the New England territory.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Manage and grow an assigned territory by closing business consistently in order to achieve sales quotas
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key education professionals
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs
  • Deliver impactful and engaging digital and live presentations that show how our solutions can help solve their challenges and achieve learning outcomes
  • Partner effectively with sales support team members in order to meet our customers’ needs
  • Ensure utilization of and data accuracy in our CRM and other tools for effective territory analysis, planning and account management

YOU MUST HAVE(MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor's degree minimum required
  • 2+ years of sales, business development or territory management experience -OR- 2 to 3 years of Higher Ed or K-12 world language teaching experience (French, Spanish, German or Italian) required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Residence in the territory and willingness to travel within the territory required

IDEAL IF YOU HAVE or ARE (PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience with VHL or similar educational, ed-tech, publishing or language learning products
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales goals with a solution and consultative sales approach
  • Experience selling in the Higher Education market (strong plus)
  • Experience conducting sales presentations both virtually and in-person
  • Experience managing a long sales cycle
  • French, German, Spanish or Italian language skills (strong plus)

LOCATION: Remote: This role is requires residence within the territory (MA, RI, NH, ME, VT, upstate NY) and must be willing to travel throughout the territory without restriction. Candidates must meet this requirement in order to be considered.
